Gripen's new cockpit will have three 150 x 200 mm colour multi function displays. As they are larger, the mechanical backup instruments will go.
In addition to all the switches on the stick and throttle, the throttle handle is also used as a joystick to control a cursor on the MFDs.
Note that blue aircraft symbol and horizon repeated from the HUD on two of the MFDs.
