[Super Cub] Piper L-21B Super Cub

The Super Cub was designated Fpl 51B by the army.

Built in 1956, c/n 18-6803, military serial 51256, previously SE-CKH.


[Do 27] Dornier Do 27A-4

The Do 27 was designated Fpl 53.

Built in 1961/62, c/n 2110, military serial 53273

Both the Super Cub and Dornier 27 was used as artillery spotters by the army. Nowadays, the only aircraft the army operates are helicopters.

[Vertol 44] Vertol 44

The air force's first search and rescue helicopter was the Vertol 44, designated Hkp 1.

Built in 1958, c/n 497, military serial 01001.


[Alouette II] Sud Aviation SE.3130 Alouette II

The Alouette was used for search and rescue in the air force. Designation was Hkp 2.

Built in 1959, c/n 1279, military serial 02406


Miscellaneous

[Bloodhound missile on launcher] Bloodhound

The Bloodhound was the only surface to air missile operated by the Swedish air force. The others types are in service with the army and navy.

By now, the Bloodhound, with the Swedish designation Rb 68 (Robot 68, Missile type 68) is retired.
