Sparrmann S 1-A, Sparrmannjagaren

[Sparrmannjagaren] 10 aircraft of this type served with the air force between 1935 and 1945, designated P 1

There was no air force requirement for the aircraft, which was intended as an advanced trainer with performance similar to a fighter, but far cheaper. They were ordered anyway and given the designation P 1 where P=Prov (Trials). Several other aircraft were given P designations at first and then regular designations if they were adopted for service, but not this one.
Mostly, it didn't serve as a fighter trainer but as a general trainer and liasion aircraft.
