Alison has now started to think that just because
she's the alpha female, she can do whatever she
wants: This morning, when I was leaving for work, she
very deftly escaped through the open door, and I had
to chase her half a dozen steps down the stairs in 
order to stop her.

No harm done, but clearly the hot weather makes her
prefer taking a walk in the morning to doing it in
the evening. I can't fault her for that, but I thought
I had brought her and her sister up to never go out
the door unless given permission.
