Today, for the first time in a very long time, I voted in elections without bringing a ferret. I usually vote early in the morning, and today at 8 o'clock, I asked if either Natasja and Carmen, who both were awake then, wanted to join me. Carmen was busy eating, and Natasja crawled into a pair of trousers on the floor and just looked at me. Perhaps they understood that the election wasn't all that important, as the EU parliament doesn't have all that much power, but I was still surprised. Perhaps they had learned that this time of year, mornings are pretty cold here, 5 deg C isn't unusual.
