I've always thought Carmen didn't like to go outdoors much was either because she was easily scared or just lazy. I've decided she's just too easily scared.
Today, she got terrified of something she didn't understand: Me.
When passing one of the industrial buildings here, she got up on the loading dock and I kept on the side of it, walking downhill, while the loading dock remained horizontal. After a few meters, she looked at me and got very, very scared.
The reason? She only saw me from the waist and up, walking along. Either she thought I was a stranger who had snuck up on her or I had got cut in half. Both of which weren't very nice scenarios from her viewpoint. It was possible to calm her, so we continued.
