The vet didn't do much about the tooth (I'd almost expected it to be pulled out), but prescribed penicillin against the possibility of infection and gave us a return time on Monday, when we'll see the dentist.
I expect a root canal and some smoothing of the sharp edges of the remaining fang stump. The vet didn't think it a good idea to remove the fang, as they're important for the ferret's status among other ferrets.
I'm still very much wondering how the fang got broken, because I cannot see any high places which look like they've been disturbed, so it's not clear if she damaged the tooth by falling/jumping or some other way.
