The ferrets have settled in quite well in the new house by now.
The first weeks, when they came upon me unexpectedly they made panic brakes in the short corridor, but now they've come to realise that it's we who live here and the risk of meeting strangers is very small indeed.
So far, they've left my house plants very much alone, and in all I've messed up with soil more than they've done together. Either with the plants or their play box, where I've given them a couple of buckets filled with soil to play with.
Just like last time, today Carmen was the only one to see the animals at the farm (it's not planned that way, I think they'd all handle it just fine): She glimpsed a sheep through the door and saw the chicken and ducks by the pond. Most interesting!
When I passed by earlier, with Rustan and Alison, they hadn't let the animals out yet. Rustan wanted in under and inside of the buildings. Especially through the hole in one door apparently sized for the resident cat.
