Today, some kids in the neighbourhood asked if they couldn't take one of my ferrets out for a walk. I explained that they aren't exactly like dogs, but if they came back at seven, they could have a hands on demonstration.
Of course they couldn't wait so long, but I managed to wake some of the ferrets up anyway, and brought them out in the garden.e ss, so to speak.
They were all bemused by Alison's fondness for digging inside a bag of peat and thought it was very funny of her climbing up on the rim of a bucket of water to bend down to take a closer look.
The only thing that wasn't very popular was Roxane's fondenss for high jumps. She was very reserved out in the garden, but one of the girls followed us in and once indoors she started to be very lively. She didn't bite but having a ferret jumping up above your waist may be disconcerting.
