Natasja's story

Natasja had been sort of tired the last two years, but a check up at the vet last June had shown no obvious problems.

Day before yesterday she started seeming extraordinary tired, by just stopping to lie on the floor just about anywhere. Yesterday it got even worse with her wobbling quite a bit and not being much interested in food except raisins, cream and so on.

In the evening, I took her out in the beautiful weather to see if I could interest her in some digging. But no, all she wanted was to go in, and had to take the route to the door which is just a few steps, in four stages.

This morning she didn't even want some banana, so it was pretty obvious that there wasn't much to do, but I brought her to the vet. Could've been a foreign body in the stomach, but on opening her up it was apparent that the spleen was practically larger than her stomach, and the liver didn't look to fine either, so she didn't have to wake up.
