It really didn't look good at all. A few hours earlier after being on the usual exercise walk around the surroundings, she'd had what can best be called "diarrea", but it wasn't exactly running, but rather undigested food. After that she'd begin to vomit violently.
When I arrived, mother was really prepared for Röskva to die, and she really looked much worse than ferrets usally do after vomiting. There had been cramps and now she was shivering quite a lot.
Wasn't much I could do, but I calmed her down so she could get some sleep and before that I fed her some vaseline, just in case the vomiting was because of a blockage (which didn't seem likely).
After an hour she was her normal alert self and I could feel that stuff was moving in her intestines, so I pronounced her as fit as could be under the circumstances and went home.
