Rustan's ear got well rather quickly, but just a few days after he'd started to get the ear drops, there was a small mark in one of Roxane's ears. As usual, her ears were very clean (with no help from me), so mites wasn't exactly what I suspected. Perhaps some kind of allergy, as it's she and Rustan who eats a few of the less healthy things, sometimes this autumn. Like cream. And they both drink from the bathtub faucet.

None of the others have shown any signs of mites, so I don't plan on putting in any specific treatment against them.

Alison is really getting worse: She's just as heavy as before, but getting thin around the chest and much thicker around the stomach. The only real problem this seems to cause is that she gets up the stairs to our front door very slowly; But when we play with toys indoors she seems to have no problem jumping all over my duffels on the floor. And the few times we get out she's clearly enjoying herself. But I don't expect her to ever more climb up on a chair or something.
When sleeping, she definitely avoids the others, but they aren't afraid of her. Carmen actively seems to seek her up.
One good thing is that Alison doesn't understand why she now can eat chocolate. And whatever else she wants. She prefers Swiss dark chocolate, but Belgian can do as well. But not regular light chocolate. Amazing how similar she and I are in that regard!

If someone wonders why not very much has happened on the site lately, I can tell you that:

  1. I will probably have to move it to another site, and planning for that is more complicated if you also have to consider a site under update.
  2. The scanner I've been using is broken, so I cannot put up any new photos, and then it's not much fun updating the site.
  3. In spite of the weather, I'd rather spend time with my ferrets if and when they want to.
  4. I've also done a lot (including moving large parts of it) to other parts of the site. (The photos from the trip to Cape Verde may be ready to be shown any day now...)
